Ascorbyl palmitate is a fat-soluble form of ascorbic acid prepared from ascorbic acid with palmitic acid. Calcium ascorbate is freely soluble in water. The combination of fat-soluble and water-soluble ascorbic acid allows for better retention by the body and shows marked synergy.
