Pharmacological Action
Maca extracts and lipid extracts of macaene and macamide seem to increase sexual activity and correct erectile dysfunction. L-Arginine is a substrate for the enzyme nitric oxide synthase and a precursor for nitric oxide, a signalling molecule involved in erectile function. Citrulline malate and propionyl-L-carnitine may improve vasodilation and enhance penile blood flow, resulting in improved erectile function. Grape compounds and constituents have vasorelaxation properties.
