The package includes a small solar panel which is inserted into the bulb and put in the sun to charge.
The light must charge for 6-7 hours for a full charge.
It can last upto 24 hours, but brightly (enough to read if put near the book), it will last approx. 12 hours. After 12 hours it will still be bright enough to see where you are going.
It is LED to maximize light and minimize energy.
