Set your charging parameters according to your particular battery manufacturer's specifications to extend battery performance and life to maximum. Know exactly the state of charge of the battery. Manage the load connect and disconnect parameters as well as the interpretation of overload/protection conditions according to your own system design parameters. The CPU manual is available - ask and I can host it somewhere to see what parameters and info on your system you have access to.
