Solar PV panels change light from the sun into electrical energy. Solar panels are also referred to as photovoltaic (PV) panels. The panels are made up from a number of solar "cells" that absorb light and convert it into electrical energy. A solar power solution typically includes solar PV panels, regulator/charge controller, inverter and batteries.
