This clever innovative device has an over-charging protection function and can be powered in direct sunlight or even under incandescent lighting, e.g. bedside, work and desk lamps (but not fluorescent lighting).
The Solarmonkey also comes with a Solarnut, which is able to save collected energy so that when the clouds come out you can still achieve maximum charge to your portable device, and it also stores extra standby power so you’ll always be able to recharge that all-important portable device.
The solarnut can also used to be as a stand-alone emergency charger, providing you up to 15 minutes talk time (after approx. 15 minutes charging) or 24 hours standby time. However the solar nut is best used in conjunction with the solar monkey.
For best performance please keep solarnut fully charged and recharge solarnut at least once every 2-3 months and only use it with the solarmonkey.
