What a find and in such fantastic condition!
This is solid rosewood with brass stringing and brass corners. The handles are hand forged. I bought this many years ago from a lady whose husband's family had owned it and used it when at sea. The inside of the lid is for paper and documents, the lidded compartments are for writing paraphenalia and the base of the cabinet is concealed by a lift out tray.
