The inscription reads: "OUR IMAGINATION FLIES - WE ARE ITS SHADOW ON THE EARTH." It is a quote attributed to famous Russian-American novelist, Vladimir Nabokov. The style of the engraving is a reflection of typewriter typography.

The ring is intentionally tarnished and scuffed. It could be cleaned and polished if a sleeker look is desired.
