This is traditional wedding spoon from Lapland in Finland. Given by a groom to his bride. If the groom was poor he carved a wooden spoon himself. Later these decorated solid silver spoons were produced.

This one has an interesting runic engraving and the traditional  ringlets on the sides.

Full set of clear hallmarks at the back indicating that made in Finland in 1924 out of sold 813H silver.

Weighs 31.5 grammes and is 16 cm long.

Would make for an interesting wedding gift or part a collection of unusual spoons. Excellent rand hedge collectible.
