Solid Sterling Silver and Designer Rolled Gold Bangle. 33.6 grammes. Artisan made Fischer Glissando

This is an interesting piece newly made with a solid sterling silver bangle and a 14 karat rolled white and yellow gold strap.

The silver and the strap are very smooth to the touch.  The strap is German made, known as the Fischer Glissando, very flexible and beautiful mesh design.

Fitted to the solid sterling silver marked bangle with custom rivets. The strap is a slightly different width each side (15 mm and 18 mm) so the rivets and joins are slightly different each side.

Rolled gold is much better than plated gold and cannot be compared. The jeweller's convention is not to describe as rolled gold unless the gold content is at least 1/20 of the weight of the piece. This is 14 karat white and yellow rolled gold.

This makes the gold layer much thicker and more long lasting than gold plate. Did you know that rolled gold is worth more than sterling silver gramme for gramme because of its gold content?

Total weight of the piece is 33.6 grammes of which sterling silver is about 22 grammes and rolled gold about 11 grammes.
