SOLID STERLING SILVER FILIGRE BANGLE. NATURAL CITRINE AND RHODOLITE GARNETS

This sterling silver bangle has been created out of a solid frame of silver, hinged on one side and inter-locking firmly on the other. The bangle is slightly curved and measures 5 mm from where it lies on the arm to where it stands out at the top side of the curve. The jeweller has created a complicated and intricate filigre design with lots of openwork. A combination of deep dark yellow citrine gemstones and two hues of rhodolite garnets - the bigger ones deep dark cognac and the smaller ones more pink - have been incorporated into the design in a dense claw-set, creating the feeling of bezel setting that frames the gemstones entirely. The locking mechanism is solid, strong and well-sprung. The bracelet has a width of 8 mm all the way round. It is quite a heavy piece, weighing in at 20,73 grams. The entire piece is solid sterling and the gemstones are all natural unheated.
