In good condition. They dont make them like this any more. Good for video work as it has rotary zoom.

A lens that one could say really comes into its own in the digital era.

A classic "metal 'n glass" heavy zoom lenses from the late 1970s to early 1980s. There are several variants: it can be found as fixed mount (pic 1) , and with swappable T4 mount (pic 2). The 17xxx/16xxxx serial numbers indicate it was made by Tokina - in fact it can be found as a Tokina auto tele-zoom.
Sold with other nameplates: bushnell, sears, hanimex, lentar, mamiya, yashica. There are also vivitar versions (37xxxx serials) , these typically have ribbed focus rings (early T4 versions) or dimpled rubber (later TX versions) - no separate review page at the mo.
