This magnificent oil painting was painted by a very talented man. Solly Manthata was born on the 31st May 1962 in Germiston. His mother was a domestic worker and his father worked on the mines. His family moved to Carletonville in 1964 where they remained until 1976. It was then that Solly left to complete his schooling in Limpopo. He too joined the mining Company after maticulating where he worked in Human Resources for over 20 years. Despite having no formal art training Solly's art is in demand and features in many well known art galleries.
This excellent painting measures 54cm X 54cm framed and 38.5cm X 38.5cm unframed.
