Control and Connect — Easy Access to Mac mini Ports
RackMac mini (2024+) is a rugged steel 2U rackmount enclosure for securing three Mac mini computers side-by-side in a rack, placing them behind an efficient and protective front panel. Convenient front panel operation allows you to turn Mac minis on and off with their own dedicated front power buttons. Front and rear panel openings provide access to all the computers' ports, enabling you to connect and disconnect cables easily without needing to remove the computers from the enclosure. For added convenience, cable passthroughs on the front panel enable connection of peripherals.
Cool Design — Supports the Mac mini Thermal Design
RackMac mini (2024+) secures your Mac mini computers without trapping them in recirculating hot rack air, supporting their thermal design to keep them as cool in a rack as out on a desk. Ventilation holes on the enclosure's front panel ensure the computers' ability to draw in cool air through their bases and expel warm air out the back unimpeded. RackMac mini is designed to allow WiFi and Bluetooth wireless operation in most configurations (performance will be impacted depending on rack type and position in rack), so you can use wireless devices and iOS device control apps.
Space for SSDs — Secure USB SSDs Under Each Mac mini
RackMac mini provides space beneath each computer to house a USB SSD (sold separately) up to 4 inches wide by 4 inches deep by 0.5 inch tall. The space is also suitable for other thin, bus-powered devices.
Road Trip Ready — Workflow on the Go
Do you need to take your workflow on the road? RackMac mini (2024+) is a perfect travel solution. Its 5.2-inch mounting depth — plus firm rubber cushions that securely hold your Mac minis in place during transport — make RackMac mini ideal for use in shallow molded rack cases from Gator Cases, fly racks from SKB Cases, or most any travel rack.
Rack Up Attached Peripherals — Optional Accessory Tray
RackMac mini (2024+) is designed to take up as little room as possible, but there may be situations when you need some extra space behind the computers to place larger storage devices, KVM switches, USB hubs or other peripherals. Install the RackMac mini (2024+) Accessory Tray on the enclosure* to add an additional six inches of depth, perfect for connecting the devices you need, but shallow enough to keeps the total mounting depth to just 11 inches.
