The Sony FE 14mm f/1.8 GM Lens is an ultra-wide angle prime lens that's designed for Sony Full-Frame E-Mount Mirrorless cameras, being ideal for photographers wanting to capture beautiful landscapes, nature, architectural, and astrophotography shots.

The wide-angle 14mm from Sony offers an extremely fast, versatile performance throughout it's focal length. The lens features quite a variety of advanced specifications to ensure that immaculate image quality is constantly delivered when photographing, which is all thanks to enhance optics that includes one super ED element to reduce chromatic aberrations, and two XA (extreme aspherical) elements to effectively control spherical aberrations to achieve a high degree of image sharpness and clarity. Other features include a Nano AR II coating to limit ghosting from occurring and lens flare, an XD Linear Motor System that utilses two separate motors to achieve really fast and quiet focus, a minimum focus distance of 25cm, a dust- and moisture-sealed design and fluorine-coated outer elements that's been applied to the optics to support shooting in inclement weather conditions.

• With an advanced optic construction, the lens is capable of producing stunning image quality which is all thanks to One super ED element and two extra-low dispersion elements that's been incorporated into the lens to ensure that it effectively reduces chromatic aberrations and colour fringing to achieve enhanced clarity and colour neutrality.
• Two XA (extreme aspherical) elements, and one standard aspherical element is built-in to the optical design, which is designed to have effective control over astigmatism, field curvature, coma, distortion and other spherical aberrations.
• Built-in to the advanced lens is an XD Linear motor system that utilises two separate motors, to ensure that photographers achieve a really fast and quiet focusing performance throughout the entire focal length. The lens also contributes to a more natural, intuitive, Linear Response manual focus control and an AF/MF switch that can be found on the lens barrel for quick focus mode switching.
• A minimum focusing distance of 25cm can be achieved which is ideal for photographers wanting to capture dynamic close-up images.
• The lens barrel features an aperture ring that can be de-clicked to achieve smooth, silent aperture switching which is perfect for video applications. Additionally, the ring also incorporates a locking "A" position for use in automated exposure modes.
