    The Sony Handycam DCR-SR40 is a mid-sized, solidly built camcorder with a plain silver finish, weighing 391g that delivers well on features and video quality, comfortable enough for long shooting sessions. Video footage is recorded to a 30GB with a touchscreen 64mm LCD which can cause some frustrating moments. With the NP-FP50 680mAh rechargeable InfoLithium battery you will be able to record video for about 125 minutes continuously.

    The camera uses 340,000 pixels to capture video or stills, you can store as many as 9,999 high quality JPEG images. This camcorder has included two buttons zoom and one for record on the LCD. Feature highlights include spot focus, manual focus, manual exposure, spot metering and six preprogram autoexposure modes.

    The performance of the DCR-SR40 surprises with its quick startup and autofocus and a responsive 20x zoom controller. The video quality is quite good, it yields good detail and image colours.
