Sony Vaio VGN-S1HP (Faulty)

Although this is a great laptop, it does have an intermittent fault, so please bear that in mind before bidding. The RAM slot seems to be faulty - either its connections to the main board or the connections on the slot itself are a bit loose. This means that sometimes the laptop won't recognise that the RAM is there at all, and so won't start up. You can see from the photo that I've had the laptop running fine, but it wouldn't be honest to sell this as anything other than faulty. I have no idea whether it would be easy to fix the RAM slot, but if so the rest of the laptop is working fine.

The laptop will come pre-formatted with Windows XP Professional (serial number on the base of the machine), the original charger unit and the recovery discs. Unfortunately I don't have any of the original boxes or documentation with it.
