phone is in complete working order, all buttons work and charges like normal.

But...

Phone has been sent in for a replaced screen, now phone is still working normally but now and then phone touch is unresponsive and touch screen malfunctions and just keeps responding to touch and sliding without touching the screen.

from research I have done it might be some kind of software problem or screen fitment was not done correctly.

seems it only acts like this when phone is cold, once it warms up it works without a hitch. 

so if anyone out there knows what's going on, feel free to purchase and repair yourself.

or anyone looking to use phone as parts feel free to purchase.
