Original 1937 South Africa Half Penny (½d) in beautiful lightly circulated condition.
The obverse shows the portrait of King George VI with the Latin inscription GEORGIVS VI REX IMPERATOR (George VI, King and Emperor), while the reverse features the iconic Dromedaris ship, symbolising the arrival of Jan van Riebeeck at the Cape in 1652.

This 1937 issue marks the first year of the George VI copper halfpenny series, making it a sought-after coin for collectors completing early Union of South Africa decimal sets.
