Obverse: South Africa coat of arms with the motto "Ex Unitate Vires" (Power Through Unity) Lettering: SOUTH AFRICA SUID-AFRIKA EX UNITATE VIRES 19xx Reverse: Blue crane (The National Bird of South Africa) Lettering: 5c T.S. or ALS. Engraver: 1970-83 - 'T.S.' below base of Coat of Arms right hand side (Tommy Sasseen) 1984 - no engraver initials (Arthur Sutherland) 1985-89 - 'A.L.S.' below base of Coat of Arms left hand side (Arthur Sutherland) Condition: (VF-20) Very Fine - Moderately worn, with some finer details remaining.
