What was once a most delightful cover.
Envelope with the adhesive and original cancel roughly removed.
1D in circle (shaded in pencil) - status unknown
Portion of 'PASSED BY CENSOR - JOHANNESBURG' at top left.
Two charming caricatures by 'E.H.' - a gentle pondering thew posting of a letter by a letter box & a gent carrying a Gladstone bag & umbrella, running with his monocle displaced.
These remains give a tantalising taste of the delight it once was.
Posted - who knows?

All taking place over and around a sketch of a crying infant with a strange contraption in front of him - looks a little like a bulb enema with a long tube. No wonder he / she / it is not happy.
On the tip of the flap in capital m/s 'ARRIE' - doubtless short for 'Harry' (being the 'H' of 'H.E.' on the front.
Further vandalism would yield a couple of neat & tidy fragments should the present portion of the whole be hard upon the eye.
