Very good condition but with wear to spine extremities. Binding solud, The personal copy of the author, Kenneth Hall-Gardner , who has bound each volume together in woven brown cloth with stenciled title on front board ( CH for CT ). He has also tipped in a photocopy of an article printed in 1974 showing the Cape Town Civic Centre as it was eventually built, with the hand written comment "30 years later they built it - not very differently ". Made up of of four sections in the South African Architectural Record. Jan. Feb. 1944. City Government. The plan depicted by Gardner does seem to predict the eventual City Hall design by decades in some respects.
