South African M26 R1M1 Practice Hand Grenade with M215A1 Practice Fuze
An original South African military M26 R1M1 Practice Hand Grenade, complete with its original M215A1 practice fuze, safety lever, pull ring, and safety pin. Finished in the correct light blue training colour with a red identification band and crisp white stencil markings reading GREN HAND PREC M26 R1M1.
The fuze is marked FUZ GREN PERC M215A1 TU 4.5 SEC DELAY, with additional factory and inspection markings visible throughout. The vented steel body identifies this as the reusable military practice version, designed to replicate the size, weight, and handling characteristics of the live M26 fragmentation grenade for training purposes.
This example retains a pleasing original finish with honest service wear, scattered paint loss, and natural patina, giving it an authentic military-used appearance. It has not been refinished and displays well with all major components present.
A desirable South African military training item from the Border War era, ideal for collectors of South African militaria, inert ordnance, or military training equipment.
Condition: Good original military-used condition with expected wear from service and handling. Complete with original fuze assembly, safety lever, pull ring, and safety pin. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
