THE SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE STAR FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE (20yrs)

This medal was awarded to a member of the SA Police who had served for a period of not less than 20 years, not necessarily continious, and who had displayed irreproachable character and exemplary conduct.

This award is struck in silver. The obverse design of this circular award is in the form of an eight-pointed star, charged in the centre with a medallion, with four aloes in cross, each with three racemes, all in natural colours. The reverse design bears, in relief, the design of the official badge of the SA Police with the words ' TROUE DIENS' and ' FAITHFUL SERVICE', in embossed letters, as circumscription.
