This Auction is for a South African 91 Diesel Kit (ONLY) made from brass
There are not many of these kits around and very seldom seen

The main picture shows a built kit but this one is not assembled, All main parts are with the kit except finer detail parts like Hand rial's grills etc that are commercially available at any Hobby shop, a full set of instructions and tips is supplied with the kit.

The Proto type Info:
The South African Railways 91 class (General Electric UM6B) is a 2 ft (610 mm) gauge diesel-electric locomotive, 20 of these locomotives were supplied to the SA Railways between September 1973 and December 1973 and were fully imported from the USA to South Africa, they were numbered 91 000 to 91 020
They are the largest 2ft gauge diesel-electric locomotive in the world- weighing in at 48 tones, they were designed to replace the ageing SAR NGG16 ClassGarratt steam locomotives on the Avontuur Railway. Entering service in September 1973, the Garratt's were moved to the Alfred County Railway, except for a few examples retained to run the tourist Apple Express.

The successful bidder will be given the name of a reputable model builder (in JHB) if required to build the kit for them and paint it (NOT INCLUDED in the sale price) I have 2 of these models running on HO track and they are beautiful. (See below)
