South African Soweto Township Art - Hargreaves Ntukwana (SA 1938 - 1998)

 His CV is rather extensive, but did not just exhibit internationally, but also studied and worked abroad during the 70's and 80's. He had his first solo exhibition in Boston, USA.

Ntukwana had an extremely distinctive style. Using oils diluted and washed or rubbed with cloths and then adding definition by means of permanent felt markers.
