South African WW2 Killed in Action Memorial plaque for SIG GH KEATLEY SACS 232134V
The plaque is of a bronze cross mounted on a wooden base.
The cross features the South African coat of arms with Latin motto EX-UNITATE-VIRES translated from unity, strength, with a label below inscribed:

On researching the Plaque we have gathered the following information:
ITALY - BOLSENA WAR CEMETARY - SIGNALLER - South African Corps of Signals - 21 Jan 1925 - 13 June 1944 - Age 19 - Killed in action during artillery bombardment near Poriano Italy.
Son of Geoffrey R. and Phyllis H. M. Keatley, of 107 George Street, Rosettenville, Johannesburg. Born in Kimberley. A clerk. He was unmarried.
Attached are images of his Grave at the Bolsena War Cemetery of of the Cemetery as well.
