Here we have a complete pair with copies of his records from Pretoria. He came from Observatory, Cape Town, 89, Station Road.
"Quartermaster's Comment":- His record is quite precise. He left for France on the 17th of May of 1917......only after some three months training!!!! He arrived at Rouen on the 22nd of May and was with his Bn in the field by the 6th of July. His cards are stamped showing that these two medals were sent off to him and that he was finally discharged in one piece on the 9th of February 1919.
For those who like medals to Father and Son.......We offer his son's medals in the next lot.
