Of the top ten books on South Africa's Border War from 1966 to 1989, at least two were penned by Willem Steenkamp. The author is one of the few military journalists/writers who have mastered the ability to paint events as the troopies experienced it - because he was there from Operation Savannah in 1975/76 to Operation Modular in 1987/88! Other than most coffee-table format books, this book not only consists of a multitude of pictures in full-colour, the text also does justice to the eventful years it covers. The book has become a classic and is a true collector's item, especially as it is AUTOGRAPHED by WILLEM STEENKAMP himself!

Condition: Boards intact with slight wear on edges and bearing surfaces slightly scuffed. Nice, tight clean copy with very faint foxing on title and half-title page.
