Condition: Good. Boards are still crisp and clean, except for some fading near the spine on the front panel. Title, author name and publisher intact and crisp in gilt lettering on spine. Scratch on rear panel--indentation only, does not cut or tear into the cloth. A knock to lower edge of both front and rear panel--just indentations, not scuffed. Corners sharp. Edges of text block foxed, with a couple of small stains. Small abrasive marks, with sticker imprint on pastedown. Light foxing on front-free endpaper. Rear endpapers foxed and age-toned. Both black-and-white and colour photographic plates clean and bright, not foxed. A small, light dent imprinted onto lower edges of most pages throughout the text block--no scuffing, however. A few rare instances of foxing, but on the whole the text block is clean and crisp. No inscriptions, no underlining or highlighting, no annotations or marginalia. Binding secure, no loose or missing pages, no torn pages.

Jacket condition: Good. Top edge of jacket sunned, creased and wrinkled. Light edge-wear to upper and lower edges, with light scuffing to hinges at the top. Scratches on back panel--which does not, however, cut through the paper wraps. Pink stain to lower edge of jacket around the spine. Light foxing to upper edge and spine. Small hole through hinge of front flap. Inside of jacket foxed, with large pink imprint from the red boards.
