LIST IS A FAVOURITE PAINTING OF MINE. A FRAMED ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING SIGNED AS VIRATH. IT DEPICTS A TYPICAL SOUTH EAST ASIA FISHING VILLAGE WITH HUTS AND BOATS.
Known as floating villages or boat communities, these settlements on the surface of inland water bodies of Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, and Borneo. They lead a simplistic life spending their lives on boats, following unique customs and traditions and speaking a language completely different to the existing ones around them.

CONDITION: PAINTING IN GOOD CONDITION APART FROM A NAIL DRIVEN THROUGH IN THE LEFT TOP CORNER. FRAME IS MADE OF WOOD WITH INNSIDE BRASS LINING. NO GLASS IN FRONT. HANGING WIRE AT BACK NEEDS REPLACING.
