South West Africa 1918 forerunner cover to Swakopmund franked Union Kings Head ½d x2 tied by Neuheusis single-ring (rubber) datestamp struck in violet 6/Mar/1918.  (Good clear strikes condition this instrument detwore badly whilst in service).  Backstamped with both railway oval datestamps converted from the DSWA period viz. Windhoek (13.3.18 with minute stop after month and raised year slugs) and Swakopmund (16 3..18 with no stop after day but two after month).  Couple faults.  As scanned (both sides of same item).
