Hardcover, first published 1984 by Macmillan. The jacket is whole, but has light wear to edges, some scratches, and the spine is sunned. The boards are square and clean, with minor shelf wear to the bottom edge. Internally, the first end paper and half title page have a gentle longitudinal crease. Pages 7 to 14 also have light creases in the top corner. The last end paper has three small smudges on it. Illustrated with colour paintings by Clare Abbott. Signed on the title page by the artist Clare Abbott and author Stephen Henning.
