A Pictorial Map Of Southern Rhodesia by A W Baylis in 1937 for the Dept of Publicity , Salisbury . This is a lithographic poster laid on board and enclosed within a neat wood styled plastic frame ( no glass ) . Baylis was well known during the 1930 period for producing tourism related posters of the Rhodesian Federation which these days sell for large sums on the international market . Although my poster is not as large as these posters at 27cm x 41cm it is nevertheless a rare example with the only other near similar one of Northern and Southern Rhodesia being held by a museum in Australia . The poster is in good condition with only a small scratch at 10 oclock and an even smaller one on the top blue border . I have obtained a valuation from from an international expert in the UK who has suggested an auction price of R1000.00 to R1500.00 . This is a rare find for the Rhodesiana collectors .
