This is an excellent book. Remember that it was written in the middle of the Cold War. Yes the 1992 expanded version is better from my point of view as a modeller of Soviet surface ships in terms of drawings and photography. Obviously. It would be as there was ten more years and more 'open' ones too from which to gather material. I have and wouldn't be without both. If you're building Combrig kits of this era you need this book. If you can only afford one, get this.
