Soya Chunks or Soy Meat is low in fat and high in protein. It is made from Soya beans and is easily rehydrated with water, vegan chicken broth or vegan beef broth and then spiced as per your liking. Make sosaties, butter chicken, chicken stir fry etc.
To rehydrate the Soy Chunks: Add the Soy Chunks to a bowl, add your spices and cover the soy chunks with boiling water. Cover with a lid and let it rest for 15 minutes. Add to a pot and cover with water until soy chunks are covered and cook for 15 minutes. Strain soy chunks, rinse and press out excess water. Fry your soy chunks to make sosaties, butter chicken, chicken stir fry etc. A 500g packet makes 1500g of Soy chunks.
