DIY Physics Space Ball Rollercoaster with Powered Elevator (5000mm Rail)

Space Rail Ball Rollercoaster Level similar to the 1980s SpaceWarp.

SpaceRail is line of build-it-yourself toy rolling ball "roller coasters" first made in the 1980's. Users cut lengths of track to the correct size from a single roll of thick plastic tubing, forming curves and loops held in place by plastic track rail holders which attach to metal rods held vertical in a black plastic base. Steel balls roll around the track and on to a battery-powered elevator that takes them to the top to start all over again.

SpaceRail is puzzle toy that you can create your own world of roller coaster, virtually without the limits of size and difficulty. When building or appreciating your own masterpiece, it can heal you over the fatigue from your daily lives.

 

 

Build a 5 meter, marble roller coaster with the SpaceRail, level 1 construction set. Use the included guide to connect rails through a network of twists, turns and loops and then reconnect back to the battery-powered elevator. When built, a steel marble is dropped allowing gravity and the SpaceRail roller coaster set to send the marble on it's journey. When the journey ends, the steel marble is collected at the base of the elevator and lifted back to the top where it's released again for it's next journey down. Adjust the pitch and you control the descent/speed. It's fascinating to watch and loads of fun to build.
