Spanish Moss (Usnoides)

This type of air plant commonly grows in swampy humid areas including some coastal forests of South Africa. They have no roots and therefore require no soil but rather attach themselves to the bark of other trees where they pick up water and nutrients from fog and rain.

These plants have become very popular as decorations at weddings. The plants are sold as bunches and can be easily divided and attached onto the stems of trees where they will continue to grow with the minimum of care, requiring only regular watering. We have both the rough and fine textures species.
