For the 19th series of Spawn, Todd McFarlane delved into history and the Hellspawns of feudal Japan. What he gave us in the present day are some of the most breathtaking action figures ever created. Lotus, a Samurai angel sent down to Earth to end an epic battle, is dressed in a very Xena-like outfit. Her legs are sheathed in decorative shin guards, a belt with hanging plates drapes around her waist, a black bra is held up by large shoulder pads resembling skulls, and a sleek headband shields her eyes. She holds a sword in each hand and comes equipped with a long deadly staff. However, since the swords don’t come out of her hands, using the staff could prove to be challenging. Lotus’s articulation points are only from the torso up, making her more appropriate for display. Even so, the beauty of her stark white face and the attention to detail on her outfit make her a fine addition to any collection.
