The Speck SeeThru Hard Shell offers your Apple laptop some added style and protection from nicks and scratches that may show up after extensive daily usage. It is made of durable polycarbonate plastic and fits the MacBook perfectly, while still allowing access to all ports and functionality of your laptop.

Installation is quick and easy - two parts snap on to your laptop, one behind the screen and the other on the bottom - staying in place thanks to little plastic tabs. These tabs are hardly visible and do not interfere at all when closing your machine, but keep the shell snug in place. Once on, the size of your laptop will increase slightly and may only cause a problem if you already own a very tight fitting sleeve. However, most cases and sleeves should accommodate the shell easily. The SeeThru has cutouts for all buttons, ports, drives and plug sockets enabling perfectly normal usage of your laptop, without needing to remove the shell casing at all. There are also 74 ventilation slots in the SeeThru casing that facilitates airflow and allow the fans to function normally, so won't cause any added heat to your MacBook.

You'll have to remove the shell to get to the battery of your laptop, but this shouldn't be too difficult after some practice. The shell does fit so tight that removing it is a little difficult - but will hopefully not be necessary too often, if you're protecting your laptop.
