Nose: Baked apples and vanilla, followed by dried berries, orange drink mix, pear skins, wood pulp, soil, and a faint hint of peat smoke.
Palate: A gentle spirited kick with notes of fudge, simple syrup, pine, caramel, and brown sugar, balanced by a strong barley grain backbone. Slightly tangy with a silky mouthfeel for its age and strength.
Finish: Fudge and malt forward with a touch of bitterness, becoming increasingly tangy and citrus-driven over time.
Best enjoyed neat, as water, ice, or soda tends to subtract rather than enhance its character.
