Spider Hibiscus

(Hibiscus schizopetalus)

Add a rare, kinetic masterpiece to your garden with the "Spider" Hibiscus (Hibiscus schizopetalus).
These + 40cm saplings are exceptionally precocious. Flower-ready even at this juvenile size, they produce intricate, hanging crimson lanterns that dance in the slightest breeze.
Growth & Maturity Profile
A rapid-growing evergreen reaching 1.8m to 3m in height.
High-velocity growth; under the right conditions, it can double in size within a single summer season.
Unlike standard hibiscus, this variety is genetically triggered to flower from a young age, meaning you won't have to wait years for your first bloom.

Arrival Ritual: Immediately soak the bare roots in room-temperature water for 12 hours. Plant into a well-draining garden spot or a large pot using a premium potting mix.

Sunlight: Best in full sun to semi-shade. In scorching South African regions, light afternoon shade will help the "fringed" petals last longer.

Hydration: Thrives with consistent moisture; do not allow the root zone to dry out completely.

Climate: Tropical and frost-sensitive. If you live in a colder region, keep your Spider Hibiscus in a container to move indoors during winter.

A well-rooted established plant will be sent, without soil. Please plant asap to establish this beauty in its new home!
