Planet of the Symbiotes" is a five-issue comic book story published by Marvel Comics in 1995. The story arc spanned the five "Super Special #1" editions of the Spiderman titles available at the time: The Amazing Spiderman; Spiderman; The Spectacular Spiderman; Venom and Web of Spiderman. The story centers on the invasion of Earth by an army of symbiotes and the efforts of Venom, Spider-Man, and Scarlet Spider to stop them. Of course the first and most well-known symbiote is Venom, who originally attached itself to Spider-Man.
Meteor Press reprinted Marvel Comics' The Incredible Hulk in 1995.
The Meteor Press Spiderman Vol 1 Issue 6 and cover are the same as Marvel Comics' original cover of Venom Super Special Vol 1 Issue 1 (1995).
Meteor Press was a South African comic book publisher that secured the rights to reprint key Marvel Comics issues. They commenced publication in 1995 with titles such as Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men and Wolverine. The companys titles were printed by Paarl Post and distributed by NND. The company entered into voluntary liquidation in 1997. Following the companys winding up, there was an estimated shortfall to creditors of ZAR1 million.
CONDITION: IN GOOD CONDITION. MINOR SPINE NICKS AND SOME EDGE CORNER CURLS. OVERALL FLAT WITH NO MAJOR WRINKLES. IMAGES COLOURFUL.
