A lovely old dinner service in the popular and attractive Copeland Spode Royal Jasmine pattern, consisting of 86 pieces: There's 1 large platter, 2 medium platters, 2 small platters or serving plates, 2 vegetable dishes with covers, 1 salad/fruit bowl, 1 gravy boat and stand, 1 cheese/butter cover, 1 milk jug and sugar bowl, 12 dinner plates, 23 fish plates, 12 soup bowls, 12 side plates, and 12 dessert bowls. All are stamped with Copeland Spode green stamp. All are impressed with various marks, and have little numbers in various colours, mostly green, brown or yellow brown. The overall condition is very good. Four pieces have chips and all are pictured. One vegetable tureen, two dessert plates and one dinner plate (underneath and not noticeable from the top). These could be repaired. There are one or two minor glaze flaws and some very minor crazing on the backs of some pieces, but no ugly stains, rust etc. A wonderful set for some grand entertaining.
Postage: This is not something one should entrust to the post office, The unpacked weight is about 25kg, so it would mean something like 10 parcels at R50 each. You would be most welcome to collect from the Berea, the Gateway antiques fair (third sunday of every month) or the Hilton antiques market (4th sunday of every month). Alternatively, provided you are in no hurry, I may be able to arrange a drop off on regular trips to the Midlands and the South Coast. Otherwise I can arrange courier quotes.
