The wonder wash pressure washing machine, also known as the sputnik washing machine is one of the best portable washing machines available. It is compact and easy to use and when you have finished it is small enough to fit in a kitchen cupboard. It will take up to 2.2Kg of washing, that is about a third of a load on a standard front loading washing machine, and it takes 2 3 minutes of turning the handle to do a wash.

As you turn the handle and spin the drum a pressure builds up. This pressure forces the soap into the fabrics that you are washing and forces the dirt out. After 2 3 minutes you insert the pipe into the pressure release valve and this releases the pressure and drains the water. You then refill with clean water and some softener and give a couple of minutes turning again. This takes all the soap out of the fabrics. You again insert the pipe and drain and your washing is complete. You squeeze out the surplus water by hand and your washing is ready to hang out to dry.
