Drop-in replacement for the standard barrel-mounted MR-series detants. These slip-in under the forward O-ring fitted around the fore-end of the barrel circumference - just be sure to use a burr-free smooth pointy tool to lift the O-ring up when installing this detant and make sure that it is positioned correctly (w/ the acute pointed end facing toward the interior of the barrel, w/ the angled end facing towards the receiver.) The catch-end on this detant is longer and will more thoroughly guaranteee that your shot does not roll freely out the barrel. It is also made from a flexible rubber material, so the tip won't get snapped off after some use - just be sure to apply some silicone lubricant to help keep it in supple / flexible condition. Like most flexible compounds, if it dries out, it will become brittle and will disintegrate suddenly or fragment with time.
