A broken but collectable brass lock and key. Sadly, the forged steel shackle seems to have been cut to break open the lock.
The lock is however in good cosmetic condition with all markings clearly legible.
On the front side of the lock:
"550. SQUIRE. Old English. FOUR BRASS LEVERS. GENUINE SOLID BRASS."
On the back side of the lock:
"HY SQUIRE & SONS LTD. WILLENHALL STAFFS.
MADE IN ENGLAND. LOCKMAKERS SINCE 1780."
Lock without the key weighs approximately 150 grams.
