Bulk dried herb. Uses include neuralgic pain, sciatica & rheumatic pain. Anti-inflammatory with pain relieving & calming effects. Helps with stress, anxiety & depression.

St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum) is a flowering shrub native to Europe. It gets its name from the fact that in the Northern Hemisphere it often blooms on the birthday of the biblical John the Baptist.

St Johns Wort is often used to ease symptoms of depression and in fact people have been using St. John's wort for centuries. Traditionally it was used to treat burns and skin irritations. Used appropriately it has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, in addition to its calmative effects. However it should be noted that it is an incredibly powerful herb and is known to interact with a number of prescription medications, including monoamine inhibitor antidepressants (or MOAIs) as the herb acts in a similar way to them.

Dosage:

1 Teaspoon of dried herb infused into a cup of hot water. Strain and drink. Sweet with honey to taste if required.
