A large (A4 size ) and heavy, leather bound archive with gilt lettering, containing scanned archival materials (National Archives and others) and research, including material from private Boer War collections and unpublished material, on the history of the State Artillery (Staatsartillerie) of the South African Republic (Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek).

Included in the archive is an antique, framed photogravure of the commander of the State Artillerie, S.P.E. Trichard.

A wealth of content (refer table of contents) includes inter alia the unpublished (see Ferreira) portion of Trichards memoirs, Mijne onaanganaamheden gedurende den Oorlog (scanned at the National Archive, Preller Collection), and large (A3 size) colour foldouts of the building plans for the State Artillery Barracks and precinct buildings.
