Victorian, circa 1870.Staffordshire Pottery egg tureen and cover which features a hen sitting with her eggs,

White and gilt version. Bright gilt base line and embellishment.Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Approx size 25 x 20 x 18cm

Condition, some rough areas due to firing and age grazing which looks more enhanced by the camera than with the naked eye.looks like a hairline crack on one side of the tail feathers.Tiny chip to end of beck .The gold Gilt is still in very good condition.
